Many of the weekly tips are on Facebook business pages.  And the benefits, because they are public.  Anyone can see Facebook Business Pages, including the Search Engines.

Now, you can create a Business Page on Google+.  Just follow the easy steps.

It’s another free way to share your Business information, products and services on Google.  More of your info for Google to include in Google Search Results, making it easier for people to find you.

Don’t forget to add it to your email signature, to share it with everyone.

Google has enhanced their display of search results. Maybe you noticed?

If you use your mouse and hover on top of a website in the Google search results a double arrow >> is displayed.

Move your mouse to hover on the >> and small version of the webpage is displayed along the right edge. In addition, Google will take a snippet from the page and display in a black box. Notice that the words you are searching for determines the snippet that Google displays. You’ll also see that Google notated, with a red box, where it pulled the snippet.

How can you use this feature to your advantage?

Make sure your content, meaning your web pages and blog posts contain keywords that people will use to find your page or blog.

As always, fresh and unique content is king. Make sure you have the right keywords in it too. And you will be rewarded with a higher position in the search results.

On the first page of the search results, I hover on the818solution.com.  And then hover on the >> next to it.   You will see a mini webpage like this with the search words in the snippet, and notated in the red box. 

Try it yourself, on your own website.  Add in keywords where necessary to improve your search results positioning and help Google display your snippets.

Many businesses don’t have a product that can simply be purchased from a Website. Like an attorney, Real Estate agent, or insurance person. They depend on phone calls from prospective customers to setup an initial consultation.

There are many services that allow you put a button on your website to make it easy for the person to call, right at that instant.

Google offers a free one, with their Google Voice product.

I’m using it on my website. When the person wants to call they click on the “Call me” button. They enter their own phone number and click CONNECT. Google voice calls the person and the google voice number right there on the spot.

Behind the scenes you have your Google phone number. And you have several configuration options. Forward calls to an office number, a cell phone, or direct to voicemail.
